The NASCAR Cup Series champion, who has won the title three times, will join the regular commentators Mike Joy and Clint Bowyer in the booth as the third person.
FOX Sports plans to maintain its rotating commentary team in the coming year, with Stewart coming back after previously participating in four races in 2022. He will be part of the broadcast for the Dayton 500, the L.A. Clash, Circuit of the Americas, and Sonoma Raceway, in addition to his previous appearances.
Stewart expressed his excitement to return to the FOX NASCAR booth for the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum and the Daytona 500 in the coming year. He stated that he was privileged to have called the events last year and enjoyed the unique perspective and experience of being a commentator. He further mentioned that he had a great time working alongside Clint and Mike and anticipates the start of the new season with FOX and the future of the sport.
As reported by Motorsport.com earlier this month, Kevin Harvick, who is expected to retire from NASCAR Cup competition, is likely to become the third person in the booth full-time starting in 2024.
